Idris El-Giving Bribes

Marketing Manager of PT Duta Graha Indah, El Mohamad Idris, who became a suspect in the alleged bribery of development homestead SEA Games athlete charged with giving bribes to the Secretary of the Minister of Youth and Sports Wafid Muharam and former Democratic Party Treasurer, M Nazaruddin each worth Rp 3.2 billion and Rp 4.4 billion.

Bribes in the form of a check was allegedly aimed at winning PT DGI in house construction project tender SEA Games athletes at Palembang in South Sumatra. Team of prosecutors headed by Agus Salim read the indictment at the Corruption Court in Jakarta on Wednesday (07/13/2011).

"The defendant (El Idris) to give something in the form of three checks that totaled Rp 3.2 billion and four checks worth Rp 4.4 billion to Wafid Muharam as Sesmenpora and Nazaruddin as a member of the House," said Agus Copy.

According to Agus, giving the bribe came from a meeting El Idris, who accompanied the President Director of PT DGI, Dudung Purwadi with M Nazaruddin in PT Children's Affairs, Mampang, Jakarta around June or July 2010.

It was El Idris with Dudung expressed their desire for PT DGI can participate in projects handled Nazaruddin. "Then Muhammad called Mindo Rosalina Nazaruddin Manulang (Marketing PT Children Affairs), and subsequently the defendant (El Idris) requested relates to Mindo," said Agus.

For his actions, El Idris, was convicted of corruption jointly as provided for in Article g of paragraph 1 letter b and or Article 13 of Law Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. Cases of alleged bribery homestead development involves Wafid SEA Games athletes, Rosa, Nazaruddin, and El Idris as a suspect.
